Southern of Vietnam and Cambodia holiday is combined between the highlights of the two countries, this trip goes from the hustle and bustle of Saigon, the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels to the lush green rice basket of Vietnam, the Mekong delta and finish at the majestic Angkor complex and vibrant Phnom Penh. It is a memorable journey of both history and culture.

DAY 01Arrive Ho Chi Minh City (D)

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be greeted and transferred to the hotel to relax. In the evening you will transfer to a local restaurant for a welcome dinner.

DAY 02Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

This morning, we depart from our hotel to visit the Cu Chi tunnels, where we will gain an insight of the sacrifices and hardships of earlier generations. In the afternoon, we will visit the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam. After that, we will visit War Remnant Museum, where we can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war. Before our lunch, we stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office.

DAY 03Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta (Ben Tre) - Can Tho (B, L)

At 08.00 we leave Ho Chi Minh City behind and head to Vietnam's rice basket, the Mekong Delta. We will pass through idyllic, rural scenes until we arrive at Ben Tre. Ben Tre, a small town, hidden within the Mekong Delta, has recently stepped out to be a destination in its own right. This peaceful retreat offers many charming surprises besides the lush vegetation, snaking canals, and enchanting smiles.
A day to Ben Tre is a day when you are no longer a tourist but a true resident embarking on a sensory voyage of discovery. Enjoy observing how bricks and grass mats are made with age-old traditional techniques as well as how products are extracted from coconuts. Admire stunning panoramic countryside pictures made of green coconut palms, yellow river streams and colorful local products. Feel the warmth of the tropical breeze and the coolness of water currents whilst exploring the earthy trails. Taste and smell local exotic fruits, “garden-made” cuisine or stop to observe and satisfy your palate with just-made wet rice paper or coco candies married with green tea. Complete your experience listening to the sounds of boat, and certainly the banter and laughter of local people, modest yet hospitable.
Transfer to Can Tho in the afternoon.

DAY 04Can Tho – Cai Rang Market – Chau Doc (B)

This morning we will visit Cai Rang floating markets (& Phong Dien is optional), which are the liveliest in the whole religion. Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then wander around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to pass a "Monkey bridge" which is built by only one stem of bamboo. Visit the orchard garden. Stop for lunch. Proceed to Chau Doc, continue the tour to visit Tra Su, getting to the wild birds Sanctuary, cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest, watching storks, cranes and other tropical birds. On the way back stop by to visit Sam Mountain, Back to the town, hotel check in.

DAY 05Chau Doc – Speed Boat to Phnom Penh (B)

Early morning take a speed boat to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred to hotel. We spend the full afternoon to visit Royal Palace which visit to the silver pagoda with their compound afterwards we continue to visit National Museum as well as to learn more about the pre-Angkor period, Angkor period and Post Angkor.

DAY 06Phnom Penh (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive 16km south-west of Phnom Penh to visit Cheong Ek known as killing field during the Khmer Rouge regime then we return to Phnom Penh for visiting Toul Sleng Museum which is former high school after Khmer Rouge came to power and then they turn it into prison that most of people now called Genocide Museum or S21. Afternoon, we will enjoyed most of our time in the Russian Market and along the river front for a nice drink on the FCC roof top with a nice view of Phnom Penh and Sunset over the French colonial building.

DAY 07Phnom Penh – Siem Reap by Road or By Speed Boat (B)

This morning we will leave Phnom Penh early for our long journey to Siem Reap by overland or boat. The journey today will take approximately 6hours, which you can enjoy, the lovely countryside with a green rice field and many plantations from local farmer or a largest Lake in South-East Asia with a fascinating floating village in Cambodia. Afternoon, we will explore Angkor wat and Phnom Bakheng for sunset overview of Angkor Complex.

Visit to Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som, built in late 12th century C.E. the most distant temple on the grand circuit, small but classic. Preah Khan temple, Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation.
Visit to the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang ("The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Ta Keo, constructed in late 10th early 11th century C.E, the first temple to be constructed wholly of sandstone.

We drive to Visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
It is time to visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.

DAY 10 Siem Reap - Departure (B)

This morning we will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen's "floating village" with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the "village" move from place to place following water levels and current.
Transfer to Siem Reap International airport for your departure flight.
After breakfast we will be transferred to the airport for our flight home or continue our adventure routes.
